Cole Slaw

Ingredients

1/2 head green cabbage, shredded
1/4 head red cabbage, shredded
1/2 onion, slivered or sliced
1/2 cup pickled pimento, small dice or bell pepper
1/3 cup "GOOD SEASONS ZESTY" salad dressing mix, (See mixing
instructions below), or any good Italian salad dressing

Directions

Mix all ingredients in a large bowl and cover. Place in the icebox to chill for at least two hours before serving. Keep in the ice chest if going picnicking.


GOOD SEASONS ZESTY SALAD DRESSING MIX

Ingredients

1/4 cup water
1/8 cup olive oil
1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons vinegar
1 pkg Good Seasons salad dressing mix. (0.6 oz)
1 tbsp Grey Poupon or Dijon mustard
1/2 tsp dry Basil

Directions

Mix the water and olive oil in a carafe or salad dressing bottle, add the package of salad dressing mix, add the mustard and the vinegar. cap the bottle and shake well to mix. Let stand for about one hour to combine. Shake well before using. This is an excellent dressing on all salads, including lettuce salads.
