Dream Catcher Kit by Standing Wolf The dream catcher represents a very old Ojibwa tribal tradition of keeping your spirit in harmony as it walks through dreamland. The Obijwa have graciously shared their tradition with other nations and people. Only good dreams are allowed to pass through the dream catcher’s web; all bad dreams and nightmares are caught and trapped in the web. Many people tie a tiny crystal to the center of the dream catcher so it can block bad dreams and hold on to them. Then, when the sun shines on the crystal, all bad dreams dissolve into the air.
In some traditions, when a dream catcher is given as a gift, it is given with only a few items attached to it. It is important for the receiver to attach a crystal in the center of the dream catcher. Other items such as stones, beans, or personal items can be attached to the dream catcher either in the web or on the sides.
This kit includes a 5 inch metal ring, lace, sinew, beads, feathers, and instructions.
